The making of the bridge began on December 7, 2014, by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Company Limited. By May 2022, the entire construction was finished. On June 25 of that year, it was opened to the public with an inauguration from Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The two-level steel truss bridge is 6.15 kilometres in length and 18.10 metres wide, comprising a four-lane highway on the upper level and a single railway track on the lower level. All expenses for the project are estimated to be US 3.868 Billion (Including taxes and IT).

The Padma Bridge, in addition to improving the lives of those living in previously isolated regions of Bangladesh, offers citizens new economic prospects and enhanced access to necessities like healthcare and education. OUR CLASS ROOM The class room is the place where the classes are held to teach students.   My class room is in the ground floor of our school building. It is very spacious and well ventilated. It can accommodate seventy students. It has two doors and four wide windows. As a result the room gets sufficient air and light. The room is well electrified with four fans and three energy saving lights. We use the fans when it is necessary. There are twenty smooth high benches and twenty low benches for the seating arrangement of the students. There is a raised platform with a fine chair and table for the teacher. A white board is fixed on the wall and the teacher writes with white marker. The walls and the ceiling are brightly colored. There is no writing in the wall. We keep the class room neat and clean. We feel comfortable in the class room.
